Interpretation of the operation method of the Schober Abrasion Tester

The Schober Abrasion Tester adopts the rotating abrasion test method to test the abrasion resistance of automotive interior materials, especially interior leather coatings. Applicable standard: DIN 53863part2 'Abrasion Test of Textile Surface (Rotation Wear Test)', GME Standard60345, GMW Standard3283, VW/Audi PV3908 Main parameters: 01. Rotation speed: 75L/min; 02. Cone angle is 166°; 03. The inclination angle of the test head bracket is 7°; 04. Sample size: 100cm2; 05. Test area: 50cm2; 06. The height of the sample is adjustable, with measuring accessories, the range is 0-10mm; 07. The pressure under the sample: 0.5N-25N adjustable; 08. A set of load weights: 50g, 100g, 250g, 500g, 1000g, 1500g. Test principle: The circular sample is installed on the rotating test head, and the sample is rubbed with the friction object (sandpaper) in a clockwise and counterclockwise direction at a certain speed, pressure and number of rotations by means of rotating wear. The friction object maintains linear contact with the specimen, thus producing a tangential friction effect. The direction of rotation is changed every 100 rubs (can be set), and the test results are evaluated by mass loss and generation of holes. Operation method: 1. Use the accessories configured by the instrument to install the temperature and humidity treated sample on the sample holder to form a rotating test head; 2. Use the dome height test device to adjust the convexity of the test head according to relevant standards or other specified requirements 3. Install the test head with the sample mounted on the test head mounting plate on the instrument workbench, and test the test head through the matching of the positioning pin on the mounting plate and the positioning hole under the test head. 4. Install the friction sandpaper on the lower surface of the pressure plate using the friction object fixture located on the pressure plate of the instrument, and lock the fixture to ensure that the sandpaper is clamped and installed flat; 5. Manually pull out the abrasive paper located on the pressure plate The right pressure plate lifts the lock, lowers the pressure plate, and makes the sandpaper contact the surface of the sample on the test head; 6. Install the corresponding weight on the weight shaft above the pressure plate (configured with 1500, 1000, 500, 250, 100, and 50g standard weights) to apply a certain pressure to the friction of the sample. The pressure value to be applied is selected according to the weight of the sample per unit area.
