Martindale Abrasion Tester Test Operation Process

Martindale Abrasion Tester can be used to test the abrasion resistance and pilling performance of knitted fabrics, woolen fabrics, artificial leather, synthetic leather, etc. under pressure. (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. is the manufacturer, welcome to inquire. Main parameters: 1. Counting range: 0~999999 times; 2. Number of stations: 9 stations; 3. Mass of pressurized material: a. Gripper: 200±1g; b. Clothing sample weight: 395±2g; c. Weight of furniture decoration sample: 594±2g; d. Stainless steel disc: 260±1g; 4. Range of motion: horizontal: 60.5±0.5mm, vertical: 24±0.5mm; 5. Effective friction diameter of grinding block: Type A 200g (1.96N) friction head (9kPa) ¢28.8-0.084mm; Type B 155g (1.52N) friction head (12kPa) ¢90-0.10mm; 6. Pack Sample hammer quality: 2385±10g; 7. The relative movement speed of the gripper and the grinding table: 20-70r/min (adjustable). Abrasion resistance test: The circular fabric sample is fixed on the grinding table, and the friction test is carried out with the friction head fixed with the standard friction cloth. There are three evaluation methods: the determination of sample breakage, the determination of mass loss and the evaluation of appearance changes. Pilling test: To simulate the pilling that occurs during normal wearing, under slight pressure, rub the sample mounted on the sample holder and the fabric on the grinding table with each other in a certain geometric pattern, and then rub the ground after grinding. The test samples were compared with the standard samples for rating. According to the type of the tested sample, it can be simply divided into: knitted pilling review sample photo, woven fabric pilling review sample photo. And according to the pilling situation is divided into five grades: 5 - no pilling; 4 - slight pilling; 3 - moderate pilling; 2 - serious pilling; 1 - very serious pilling. Test operation process: 1. Sample preparation In a standard environment, place it for a period of time according to different standards in a flat, non-stretched state. Such as 24h (GB/T 480 2.2-1997), 16h (EN ISO 12947-4:1998); 2. Sample selection Take a sample from different parts of the whole fabric, and the sample should be representative. In the case of fancy fabrics, the specimen shall include all the different textures and shades exhibited by the fabric; 3. Remove the load and load shaft from the tester; 4. Remove the top plate and test fixture; 5. Specimen set-up : Loosen the fixing ring on the test fixture, take off the sample press, and place the sample into the test fixture base. When the tested fabric is not more than 500g/m2, a piece of polyester foam should be placed between the sample and the metal plug of the sample holder, if it is greater than 500g/m2, when the fabric is compounded, no foam should be placed. The samples on each sample holder should be subject to the same tension; 6. The device of wool felt and friction cloth: Put the felt and abrasive on the grinding table, put the weight on the abrasive, then put the pressure ring, and rotate Tighten the nut, so that the pressure ring fixes the abrasive on the grinding table; 7. Put the grinding head on the abrasive for pressure; 8. Place the test fixture with the sample face down on the base fixture, and adjust the test fixture circle 9. According to the standard set times, start the switch, start the test, automatically stop after reaching the set times, and remove the sample , and compare the standard sample photos in the rating box.
