Textile electrostatic properties electrostatic decay GB33728 test

The GB/T33728-2017 standard specifies the test method and evaluation of the electrostatic decay time of textiles, which is applicable to all kinds of textile fabrics, and other film materials can be used for reference. The electrostatic decay performance tester is an evaluation instrument. (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. is the manufacturer. Customers who have demand are welcome to inquire. Electrostatic decay time refers to the time required for the voltage across the pad sample to decay to a given percentage of its initial value. After the sample was charged to 5000V, the power was turned off, the voltage on the sample was attenuated by grounding, and the time required for the voltage to decay to 500V was measured. Test device: The electrostatic decay tester consists of a high-voltage generator, a non-contact electrostatic field strength meter, a timer, a sample holder, a metal shield and a display. Experimental conditions: A: The temperature is 23±3°C, relative humidity of 12±3%; B: The temperature is 20±2°C, relative humidity of 35±5%; C: temperature is 23±3℃, relative humidity of 50±5%. When using other test environmental conditions, it should be indicated in the test report. Sample preparation: If necessary, wash the sample according to the 4A procedure in GB/T8629-2001. After washing, the sample should be dried at 60°C for 1 hour, or the number of times approved by the relevant party to be washed and dried. Randomly sample 3 pieces from the sample, and the size of each sample is (70±5) mm×(140±5) mm. When the sample has different characteristics in the warp and weft direction (straight and horizontal direction) or front and back, or the characteristics cannot be determined, it is necessary to sample separately, each group of 3 samples. The above-mentioned samples should be allowed to stand for not less than 24 hours in the specified test environment. Test procedure: 1. Fasten the sample on the fixture in the metal shield, ensure that the sample is parallel to the probe, the exposed area of the center of the fixture shall not be less than 2500mm2, and the sample shall be de-energized to the zero point. Then close the metal shield. 2. Adjust the high-voltage generator, apply voltage to the sample, and stabilize the sample to 5000V. If the sample cannot be electrified to 5000V, record that the sample cannot be electrified and stop the test. 3. Stop powering on the sample, start the timer and ground the sample at the same time, read the time when the voltage of the sample decays to 500V and record it, stop the test when the decay time is greater than 60s, and record the test result as greater than 60s. 4. Adjust the high-voltage generator, apply voltage to the sample, and make the sample electrified to -5000V. If the sample cannot be electrified to -5000V, it will be recorded that the sample cannot be electrified, and the test will be stopped. 5. Stop powering on the sample, start the timer and ground the sample at the same time, read the time when the voltage of the sample decays to 500V and record it, stop the test when the decay time is greater than 60s, and record the test result as greater than 60s. 6. Test the remaining samples in accordance with the test procedures 1-5. Result evaluation: Take the maximum value of the electrostatic decay time of the positive and negative voltages as the test result, and keep two significant figures for the result, and the unit is s. If the test time exceeds 60s, it will be recorded as>60s, if it cannot be pressurized to 5000V, it is recorded as not applicable (N/A). If necessary, the electrostatic properties of textiles can be evaluated according to the following table. If it occurs, the positive and negative voltage decay time grades are different, and the evaluation shall be carried out according to the result of the lower grade. Technical requirements for electrostatic decay time:
