To alleviate the problem of poor drone battery life, you can do this

In recent years, under the background of continuous breakthroughs in the new generation of communication and navigation technologies, my country's drone industry has ushered in a very rapid development. Whether in the military or civilian fields, more and more drones appear in people's field of vision, which not only brings great convenience to production and life, but also spawns a huge commercial blue ocean. However, with the continuous increase and expansion of drone applications, there are also many hidden dangers exposed by the industry. For example, the emergence of problems such as black flight disturbance, crash injury, privacy theft, and illegal applications have brought harm to the development of UAVs in my country. In addition, the lack of drone endurance has also become a major pain point restricting the progress of the industry. As we all know, endurance is a prerequisite for ensuring the operation of UAVs. The length of endurance time and the level of endurance stability determine whether the application scenarios and uses of UAVs are broad or not. For a long time, the endurance of UAVs in my country is generally within 30 minutes of flight time, which makes related applications significantly limited. There are many factors that cause the endurance of the UAV, including the lift-drag characteristics of the UAV, the performance of the engine, the battery capacity, the aerodynamic characteristics of the propeller, the weight of the aircraft structure, and so on. In terms of the parameters of the drone, any unreasonableness may cause the deterioration of the battery life, especially the battery, which has a great impact on the battery life. Based on this, whenever we talk about improving the battery life of the drone, we will always give corresponding countermeasures from the perspective of battery energy. However, for the majority of ordinary users, the design parameters such as the battery of the drone have basically been determined before leaving the factory. It is difficult to be easily changed, so how can we mitigate the impact of poor drone battery life? In fact, in addition to the influence of its own factors, external environmental factors and some variable factors will also affect the endurance of the UAV, such as task load weight and energy consumption, flight speed and altitude, atmospheric temperature and humidity, maneuvering action in flight, wind and battery life, etc. As ordinary people, we can start to improve from these aspects. For example, the heavier the mission load is, the higher the flying weight of the UAV will be, which will lead to an increase in the lift required for the UAV to fly, which in turn will increase the resistance, increase the power consumption of the engine or battery, and reduce the endurance performance. Based on this, we can appropriately reduce the load of the UAV according to the needs, or carry relatively lighter equipment. At the same time, the flight altitude and speed can also affect the engine performance and lift-drag characteristics of the UAV, thereby affecting the endurance performance of the UAV. The higher and faster the drone flies, the higher the energy consumption and the worse the endurance. In this case, we can choose the appropriate altitude and speed to fly the drone to maximize its endurance. In addition, atmospheric humidity and temperature will also affect the endurance of the drone. The higher the temperature and humidity, the smaller the air density, the smaller the propeller's inference, and the greater the power consumption required, resulting in a decrease in the drone's endurance performance. Therefore, choosing to fly in dry, sunny, and windless weather is more conducive to ensuring the drone’s battery life. Of course, in the end, battery life has the biggest impact on the battery life of the drone. The use environment of the battery, the frequency of charging and discharging, etc., can easily affect the discharge capacity of the battery, which in turn affects the battery life. In order to maximize the battery life and drone life, we need to maintain and use the battery regularly. All in all, it is not impossible for ordinary people to explore and optimize the endurance performance of UAVs. Plan the flight route reasonably, pay attention to the flight altitude and speed as much as possible, choose a time when the airflow is smooth, sunny and windless, and the temperature is low, and pay attention to the maintenance and use of the battery, we can also make the drone fly longer and fly more stably .
